About the Club

Zach's Mark.jpg

The Canning Vale Senior Football Club was established in 2010 to provide a pathway for young people to continue playing football beyond the junior grades.  Our first season was in 2011.

The Club provides increased physical activity which improves community member's health and fitness.  Increased physical activity leads to better health outcomes for the community, particularly mental health.  We provide a community and support network for people to belong to. The Club mentors young people to make good life choices and become future community leaders.

Three successful years resulted in Premierships in 2011, 2012  and 2013.  2015 saw another one added to the list.  In 2017 the Colts went through the season undefeated and they won another Premiership.

The Club has doubled in size since 2019 and now offers six teams - League, Reserves, Women, Colts, Thirds and the new Masters Team.

Our mission is to be the best community football club by providing leadership, integrity, pathways and opportunities for all in our diverse community to engage in an inclusive environment and enhance their health and well-being through organised sport.

The Canning Vale Senior Football Club would like to acknowledge our club is on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people and we pay our respects to the Elders both past, present and emerging.

The CVSFC is very excited to see Drillmech continue as a major sponsor for the club in 2024.

Drillmech is a Western Australian owned and operated company, established in 2008 to service WA’s ever-growing mining and civil construction sectors. They started out in a small shed and have expanded fast as a result of their reliable hard work in the field – growing from 5 to 50+ employees in a few short years.

They service some of WA's largest companies and are relied upon by well established mining corporations as the machinery rebuild experts – proficient in plant and equipment maintenance, fabrication, and parts exchange across Australian industry. Although they offer a range of supporting services, rebuilds are their forte – and you won’t find a provider better-equipped.

By forging quality relationships, sharing masterful expertise and dedicating themselves to project transparency, they’ve become the premier partner in heavy maintenance for WA – but that’s not all. They’re also your partner in project efficiency, procurement and maintenance planning.

Based in Maddington, they are great supporters of community football.

Big thanks to Marc Bartlett and the team at Drillmech for their support.

Paramount Boxes are pleased to be sponsoring the Cougars again in 2024.

Paramount Boxes is Aussie-owned and they understand the harsh environment in our vast country.

They have always been about searching for better ways to work and play.

This means making the boxes ready for a bush trek for a few weeks, to having the right tools to do work efficiently day in and day out.

Paramount Boxes is offering a 20% discount to Cougars members and supporters.  All you need to do is contact Chris Riley by walking in, phoning or emailing.

The CVSFC is seeking  to partner with businesses in  mutually beneficial sponsorship arrangements.

Sponsorship is vitally important for the Club to enable us to continue delivering valuable community services.

We are not just about the football.

Please contact us if you are  able to support us.

The CVSFC is very excited to announce the re-appointment of Glen Andrews and the appointment of Jayden Heuer as our League Coaches for 2024.

Glen has extensive experience in the WAFL system at Peel FC.  He was an Assistant Coach and Development Manager.  Glen will also oversee the Colts program with Riley Skewes, Nic Drew and Tyler Macri.

Jayden joins us after many years in the WAFL system at Peel, East Perth and East Fremantle FCs.

This partnership is very exciting for the Cougars as they intend to focus on youth to strengthen the club's future.

Another coup for the club is the re-appointment of Nathan Hansen as the Reserves Coach.  Nathan has played over 450 amateur games and has a wealth of knowledge for the club to draw upon.

Our Women's Team will be coached by Peter Valenti again.  After a re-build in 2023 with over 20 new players, Peter took the team to the finals.  The excitement is building already for 2024.

Thirds coach to be announced.
